Woodworking is a craft that knows many many tools.
You can spend a lot of space and money on a nice workplace.
I use a very compact set up in the garden to do my woodworking, and I can store it in a small space in the cellar. I only use small tools, no big machines. I prefer to work outside because of health precautions concerning sawdust. I like to work outside anyway.
When I do a project, I make a conscious decision about which tools do I use. How much electricity do I want to put into this project?
I like to do things by hand, but I’m not a Luddite as well. But it has value for me to do things without the electric machines. It’s slower, it’s quieter, and it often needs more skill, more accuracy.
The private workshops are the places where old skills and ways can prevail.
