Everyone should experience that

everything

A funny thing about us humans is that when we get excited about something, we feel like other people need to experience the same thing. Obviously it's nice if we find something great and we share it with other people. But too often we get carried away by our enthusiasm and say things like "everyone should experience that". Okay, yeah, it's nice that you like that, but that doesn't mean it's important to everyone. So, I try not to get carried away into thinking that my way of doing things is in any way something to be copied. If someone talks about a problem I can relate to, something I have experience with, or has similar interests within a genre, I look to see if there is something I can share with them. That makes sense. But sometimes, my experience is irrelevant to that person. It comes down to imagining what it's like to be them. That's pretty difficult. Lifelong pursuit.
