Coordination 18/30 - Sixth and Seventh Principle

Difficulty: none

Alright, we add another two principles! This will be most likely the last principles I am writing about during this challenge. So this day is less about a challenge, than about the principle.

SIXTH PRINCIPLE

A) To make it easier for you to decipher where arms and legs go in space use an imagined clock.
B) Imagine there is a clock on the ground and you stand in the middle. So in front of you is 12, behind you is 6 at your right is 3 and at your left is 9.
C) When you look at the foot movement of a pattern, for example, you can now say to yourself “6, 3, 8…” etc.
D) Notice the clock is always in relation to you and moves with you.

So in this video, I show how I step on the following numbers:
12
3
9
6
1
11
5
7
In the auxiliary video, I show how to make this more interesting and spice it up.

SEVENTH PRINCIPLE

A) Notice if the foot is stepping with weight on the foot or if the foot is just touching the floor without weight or very little weight.
B) If you get more advanced, you will start to see more subtleties in weight shifting.

This is another simple but super important principle. You will easily notice what I do in the video. Just practice your eyes in this regard also with complex patterns. All these principles are part of our Fundamental Physical Education that we teach in Workshops, Online etc.
